Frequently Asked Questions
Question: What if I saw a crocheted design elsewhere, that I don't find here?
Answer:
Simply specify where the design can be found, or provide a copy of the pattern by sending it as a PDF to
info@homespunhandmades.com.
Question: How long does it typically take to make a baby blanket or afghan?
Answer:
Orders are completed in the order that they are received, and deposits are paid. If there are no orders in cue, a baby afghan
can be turned around in two to three weeks (production and shipping time included), and a fuller-sized afghan can be generally
turned around in four weeks. Ultimately, the length of time will be determined by the complexity and size of the order.
Question: Where can I find the cost of a particular item?
Answer: Each
item is made to order, therefore, prices will vary. Prices will be determined on an individual basis; however,
as a general guide, baby afghans average a cost of $50, throws begin at $75, and fuller-sized afghans begin
at $100. Shipping and handling, packaging, and taxes are extra.
Question: Can I select
my own color for patterns seen here?
Answer: Yes. The more information you provide
regarding your preferences, the more tailored your selection.
Question: How are orders with
multiple items handled?
Answer: The items in your order will be completed and shipped by
your assigned priority. Please note that separate shipping charges will apply, if items are shipped separately.
Question: Can I have an item sent directly to a gift recipient?
Answer: Yes. Please
specify this in the "comment" section or "ship to" section of your order form. In addition, you may
specify whether the item needs to be gift-wrapped for the specific occasion (baby shower, house-warming, wedding,
etc.) Gift packaging costs are additional.
Question: What kind of yarn is used to make the
items shown in the portfolio?
Answer: Yarn types vary by selection. Some of the patterns are made
using worsted weight yarns, sport weight yarns, or wool-blend yarns. Most handmades use an acrylic or acrylic blended
yarn. You may specify the type of yarn that you prefer, however, please note that the cost as well as the final product's
tension, softness, layout, and feel will be affected by yarns other than those specified in the selections seen on this site.
Question: Can I pay for my order using a credit or debit card?
